Multiple Engraving Initials

This example showcases how to create multiple initial text options based on the number of letters selected.

This configuration requires setting up conditional rules. Please watch the video or follow the instructions below to set this up for your products. 🎉

1. Create a new option set with a drop-down menu option. Your option set and first option should look similar to the following:

Since the Number of Letters option allows the customer to select 1, 2, or 3 initial letters, we'll need to make three additional custom fields to represent each initial.

2. Create a custom text field for your first conditional option, 1st Initial. This is what the field should look like:

3. Select Show Advanced Options to reveal the Conditional Logic section, and add Placeholder Text with a Character Limit of 1.

4. Next, create a new conditional rule to display the 1st Initial when 1, 2, or 3 letters are selected.

To achieve this, we'll set it to show when the customer selects any "Number of Letters" value greater than 0:

5. Now that we've set up the first option, we'll create a similar custom field for the 2nd Initial.

Here, we'll set the conditional rule so that the 2nd Initial displays when the "Number of Letters" value is greater than 1:

6. Lastly, create the last custom field for the 3rd Initial conditional option.

The conditional rule for this will be to display the 3rd Initial option when the "Number of Letters" value is greater than 2:
