Moving from Legacy to Native Bundling

Native Bundling is the newer way to add a cost to options in Infinite Options.

It gives you:

  • Cleaner order display

  • Add-on products that cannot be removed from the cart

  • No need to publish add-on products to the Online Store

  • More flexible pricing control inside the app

Do I Need to Re-Bundle My Products?

No 🤩 You do not need to recreate or reconnect your add-on products.

When you enable Native Bundling:

  • Your existing bundles stay in place

  • Nothing is removed

  • You do not need to rebuild anything

How to Enable Native Bundling

  1. Open Infinite Options

  2. Go to Settings → Product Bundle

  3. Toggle Native Bundling on

You can turn this off at any time to return to legacy bundling.

If you are on a legacy plan, you will be prompted to upgrade.

What’s Improved with Native Bundling?

Native Bundling makes add-ons easier to manage and cleaner for customers.

Here’s what improves:

Add-on products do not need to be published to the Online Store. They can stay hidden while still adding cost.

Pricing is set directly inside Infinite Options. The price you enter is the price customers are charged.

Add-ons stay attached to the main product. They cannot be removed from the cart separately.

Orders are cleaner in Shopify. Bundled items appear grouped under the main product. You will no longer see the _io_parent_order_group code on the backend of orders.

What does it look like for customers?

How will my Customers know an option has an additional cost?

To display price changes on the product page, we recommend enabling the dynamic bundling price block.

Installing the Dynamic Bundling Price Block:

1. From your Shopify admin dashboard, navigate to Online Store, and then Themes.

2. Next to your theme's name, hit the Customize button to go to the theme editor.

3. In the drop-down menu at the top, select Products, and then your product template.

4. In the left sidebar, hide or remove the Price theme block.

5. Hover below the Price section and click Add Block.

6. The result should look like this.

7. Click into the Dynamic Bundle Price block and adjust the styling settings.

8. Hit the Save button at the top right of the theme editor to save your changes.
